A free weight room with no coaches or record board has become equivalent to adding to the tip jar when no one is looking; What’s the point.
Go on, judge me. Pride has always been a major motivator in all my endeavors. As the youngest of three children, acceptance and proving grounds drive me as much as the phrase “What are you… Chicken” motivated Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future.
So I was impressed that I was able to get a solid 10 in my effort scale on the Smith Machine today with no trainer or competition around to nudge me.
That said, I look forward to a thorough ass kicking in Crossfit tomorrow morning.
